Anchor Press is committed to providing the highest quality colour printing and customer service in the Nelson region. The new Roland 204E press helps achieve that goal.

Our MAN Roland 204E four colour printing press is the most up to date big press in the north of the South Island. Its sheet size is 520 x 740 mm, and can print at speeds of up to 13,000 sheets per hour. It features on board electronic controls to aid print quality along with sophisticated new features to achieve high quality print production. Brilliant colours and high quality are the hallmarks of this magnificant 21st century high production press.

The MAN Roland four colour press handles big sheet work such as maps, books, tourism brochures, annual reports and calendars, all in full colour.

Our cost effective two colour presses are designed for fast production of letterheads, leaflets, labels and envelopes.

The three single colour Heidelberg presses are real workhorses, producing docket books, statements and forms, along with diecutting and embossing.

Self adhesive labels on rolls are a new service installed at the request of one of our major fishing industry clients. Barcodes, addresses, logos and date stamped labels all printed at high speed with superfast delivery.

pre-press

Once artwork has been approved the next step in the printing process is the complex task of preparing the digital file for printing plates. The file is ripped (processed) through a computer. In simplistic terms, the digital file is electronically processed ready to make a proof and printing plate.

The files are converted into the 4 primary colours needed for printing.

Since all services are integrated at Anchor Press, clients are assured all prepress services will be handled cost effectively and smoothly. Troubleshooting and preflight checks will help intercept and identify file problems before your job or project goes to print .

The partnership we have with Fuji, our major prepress supplier ensures we have access to technical information and back up to keep our equipment in top operating condition and efficiency.
